PIZZA! And leftovers.

Last week I talked about cross training and Crossfit/G-fit.  I went three times last week...

My calf was so sore after Saturday's workout that I haven't worked out since.  Oy vey...Gfit.  You get me every time.  I'm probably only going to go once a week till my membership runs out - it's just not worth being debilitatingly sore these days.

Anyway, that's my update on the workout front.  I have a 5k this week, in the evening.  So I'll be taking it easy till then!

This weekend Drew came up for his birthday.  I was going to go down to DC, but I am uncomfortable leaving Winston these days.   On Friday night Drew and I made pizza, which we love to do, but haven't done since Boulder!!  I was so excited.  I only took pictures of one, because the other was just pepperoni.  Booooooring.

The other one had: whole wheat dough, arugula, fresh mozzarella, ricotta, cherry tomato, basil, and prosciutto.

Pre cooking.  Hi Winston!
I made that.
Next time we make pizza, we will use less dough.  It was a little too doughy, but hell - I don't mind alllll the carbs.

I got Drew concert tickets for his birthday (Zac Brown Band in 2 weeks)!!!  But he already knew about those so I wanted something to give him the night of.  How about BEER!  Hazed and Infused is by Boulder Beer Co., and is our absolute favorite.  It goes without saying that it brings us right back to Colorado.  He was happy!

On Saturday morning I went to Gfit and Drew went on a mountain bike ride.  I'm so happy he's geting back on the bike.  He took a little hiadis this past semester because of school and research.  Did I mention that Drew is a cyclist?  Well now you know... see?

Oh I mean...

That's better.

In the afternoon we went to my cousin's graduation party, then rallied straight to the evening with GIANT margaritas.  Can we agree there isn't much better than chips and margs on a summer night?

In the time since making the pizza I have had nothing but leftovers for dinner.  I'm so psyched that I had all those awesome ingredients.  Sunday night it was arugula, prosciutto, tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.

Tonight I had arugula, sweet potato, tomatoes, avocado, and basil.

And in closing, here are 2 things I want to show you:

If you know me at all, you will know that this describes me to a tee.  It's a rough life.

Winston, chillin'.  I love him!

1. What's your favorite meal to make at home?

2. Do you do Crossfit?

3. Been to any graduation parties lately??

  1. I love stir fry. That is my favorite food to prepare at home. I don't do much Crossfit. Very nice looking Arugula salad.

  2. Those pizza and salads look AMAZING. My favorite meal to make at home is probably chicken and vegetables… boring, but I can do everything exactly the way I like it :)

I'm also a Philly-based runner and came across your blog when I was trying to find my own Feel the Love 5K race recap on google and came across yours. I'm Erin, nice to "meet" you :)
