Deja Vu, birthdays, and not enough pictures

Why, hello!  This is a view from my window this morning. I actually really love this view in the snow :)  But I'm getting a little too used to it this year.  So, another snow day today!

Right...about all this snow...

So this post will be a weekend recap.  Let me start but saying, I'm still getting used to this whole blog thing, and I don't take enough pictures.  Case in point:  this weekend was my mom's birthday, and I don't have pictures from her birthday dinner OR birthday breakfast with my siblings.  I guess that means I'm too busy living in the moment?

Anyway, so my mom's birthday was Saturday, and we celebrated all weekend.  On Friday we went to sushi with my middle brother.  My oldest brother was traveling so he couldn't join us.  On Saturday my mom and I got pedicures - and I remembered to get pictures!

The massage chairs at the nail salon = heaven.  Sometimes I ask them if I can just sit there long after my nails are painted...

Happy birthday mom!

My mom went to dinner with her sister that night, and I went out to celebrate a different birthday - one of my dearest friends, Brooke.  She lives in Philadelphia now and is busy with PA school like a boss, so I barely ever see her!!  She is so fun, and obviously threw herself a birthday bash in the city.  I wouldn't miss it!

Sierra, Brooke, and me.  Love the candid-ness (?) -  I don't pull off candid faces, luckily they do.
On the train home - she really likes me :)

It was a fun night - I got to see a good number of my girlfriends that I never see anymore.  Backtracking, on Saturday morning I had a glorious run on the Schulykill River Trail again, another part of the deja vu for this post.  You would never guess it now, but the weather this weekend was great - I wore SHORTS on my run!

I kept a good pace going - I was really working on pushing myself even when I didn't necessarily have to.  As I mentioned a little while back I'm trying to get more comfortable feeling uncomfortable.  My miles were: 8:28, 8:21, 8:36, 9:01 (oops), 8:51, 8:41, 8:49, 8:30.

Although I got a great workout on Saturday, the rest of the weekend was not my best for workouts - Friday I rested because I felt like it, Sunday I didn't do my spin class because we went to breakfast (good choice), and then only walked my dogs in the afternoon.  I was really looking forward to getting back on the wagon and going to my Monday night spin class but...I don't know if that's happening anymore.  The roads are impassible, so we'll see.  I'm trying not to stress about it.

Have a good Monday everyone - I'm going to snuggle and watch movies all day with my mom.
